Stichting CENDDOW is strongly committed to bringing African Food Security to the forefront and making it a priority for international development cooperation. We started by reaching out for strategic collaboration with diaspora organisations and stakeholders that share our concerns on the growing problems of African food crises and the impending consequences on the continent’s development.

In some economically depressed rural community in Africa, we have made some achievements by empowering the women population with the enabling tools to engage in agriculture entrepreneurship.

Stichting CENDDOW food & Agriculture programme is spurring development in rural communities through its impact on extreme poverty reduction.

Stichting CENDDOW Food & Agriculture objectives are to:

• Accelerate the pace of aid transition from food hand-out to sustainable opportunities in land cultivation; give the hungry the tools with which they can fend for themselves;
• Create entrepreneurial skills and jobs in rural small-scale food production
• Control urban migration by making agricultural jobs sustainable to rural dwellers
• Connect rural and urban poor economy in food production and distribution
• Make micro-capitals/credits and other incentives accessible to rural farmers and particularly women
• Provide the food that will fuel city labour force for development
• Mediate in situations of rural conflicts that affect development
